Home Sweet Home

We were back out by 6:30 AM to load the shuttle and then catch our 8 AM plane. We made it through security, got our new seats, which ended up being right next to each other, and boarded the plane. I was in a row with Camila and Krystal. Ms. Cruzat was in the row next to us, and Komal, Lynda, and Aimee were behind us. I worked on blogging and some other work this plane ride and the time actually passed by pretty quickly. When I landed we finally got our luggage, which was waiting for us last the baggage claim. We then searched for our shuttle Don had ready for us and and took a smooth ride back to El Cerrito. 

Landed!

We quickly arrived at El Cerrito High School, it was nice seeing a familiar face as I stepped out of the van to see Don. Seconds later, my sister and mother also arrived. They both embraced me with great big hugs, in this moment I couldn't believe how fast time flew. I grabbed my luggage out the van and then gathered with the cohort for one last group picture. After the picture we grabbed leftover snacks that Don brought, these will come in handy for the rest of my summer break. After the snacks we said our final goodbyes and I headed home.

Being back home felt so good, I’ve really missed the Bay Area. I feel so content with how this trip went and am so glad to have had such an opportunity.
